By WEATHER UNDERGROUND – 3 hours ago

Rain was forecast Sunday for the Northwest as a low pressure system sweeps through the region and into the Intermountain West and rest of the Rockies.

Meanwhile, a small low pressure system moving through the Mississippi Valley was expected to bring rain to the region. Rain was also likely in Alabama and much of Florida.

The Northeast was expected to remain dry as a high pressure system slides over the area from central Canada. The system was expected to keep temperatures cool in the region.

Clear skies were forecast for the West and Southwest.

Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Saturday ranged from a low of 27 degrees at Polebridge, Mont., to a high of 105 degrees at Bullhead City, Ariz.
