The remnants of Hurricane Dolly were expected to meander through the Southwest on Sunday and instigate more widespread showers and thunderstorms. This precipitation was likely to create even more flooding for the region.
Showers were forecast for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast as a frontal system moves through the regions. Rain and thunderstorms were also expected in the Northern Plains and the Upper Mississippi Valley.
Cloudy, cool weather was forecast for the coastal areas of the Northwest. Mostly sunny skies were forecast for the West Coast.
Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Saturday ranged from a low of 35 degrees at Stanley, Idaho, to a high of 121 degrees at Death Valley, Calif.
