Strong thunderstorms blew through parts of the Great Lakes on Saturday, producing damaging hail and strong winds.
Thunder also boomed in the Plains and parts of the Southeast. Areas of the Northeast were rainy.
The West remained dry, aside from some showers in Arizona and New Mexico.
Temperatures in the Lower 48 states Saturday ranged from 34 degrees at Yellowstone National Park, Wyo., to 108 degrees at Needles, Calif.
